Vanilla Chai Smoothie ~ A Perfect Holiday Breakfast, And Reasons Why to Strength Train!

I’m in LOVE with his new Vanilla Chai Protein Mix. It tastes like a holiday in a glass!

My new favorite seasonal shake flavor

It’s no secret I enjoy tweaking and experimenting with different shake recipes until I get them to satisfy my taste buds and give my body exactly what it needs.

Try a unique new treat this holiday season, my Vanilla Chai Smoothie. It’s delightfully refreshing and beautifully seasoned for a tasty treat the whole family can love.

A plant based holiday starts with a Vanilla Chai smoothie

I firmly believe a daily green smoothie sets the tone for how I eat all day long. This especially rings true over the holidays. If I start out a ‘big food’ kind of day like Thanksgiving (or any other occasion) with a green smoothie like this chai smoothie, I eat more mindfully.

Look at this beautiful color!

So this is perfect for any morning but especially Christmas morning because it’s loaded with protein, healthy fats, and veggies to keep your blood sugar level. It’s delicious, satisfying, and a perfect way to keep you energized and satisfied while you prep for the day.

Also this new seasonal Vanilla chai plant protein, has become my quick go to mornings after my workout!

 My favorite thing about it??

  • The added leucine benefits to preserve and start that muscle synthesis 💪🏻
  • and it tastes great 😏!
  • and it’s satisfying 👌🏻

The added fat from the cashew butter and the fiber from the greens & chia seeds help my shake stabilize my blood sugar and my hunger for hours! It’s basically the easiest most nutrient dense meal anyone can grab in under 3 minutes! 🙌🏻🙌🏻.

Ready in under three minutes!

This is another great reason I love it on busy holiday mornings! It’s quick!

Plus I LOVE a quick delicious post run/workout. Anyone else? By the time I get home from the gym, I’m starved and the last thing I want to do is spend an hour in my kitchen making breakfast! Can anyone else relate?

Speaking of the gym…

Ugly faces are a good sign you’re working hard 😝

What’s your jam…cardio or strength or a mix of both? It’s no secret that I love to run 🏃‍♀️BUT…
…to truly be fit and healthy, you also need to be doing some form of strength training!

Strength train minimum of three times a week

Here’s just a few reasons why your workout regime needs a balance of both cardio and strength work.

  1. Live younger longer ~ no one wants to be a frumpy grandparent. Strength training will help you stay younger longer so you can play on the floor and get back up easier. 😀
  2. Reduces risk of injury ~ the stronger you are, the more resilient you’ll be! Keeping muscles strong will help you avoid injuries in every day activities 👏
  3. Makes you stronger…leaner…and helps to retain muscle mass. As you increase your strength, you’ll begin to notice lifting heavier objects at home will also become easier. Bonus you’re clothes fit better too💚
  4. Improves balance ~ strength training reduces your risk of falling as you get older 👵
  5. Enhances quality of life ~ you’ll be more mobile, have better flexibility, and overall better health when you strength train at least twice a week 🙌🏻
  6. Boosts your mood and confidence ~ exercise triggers the release of endorphins but when you add strength training to the mix, you feel even more confident when you see your successes.
squats are one of my faves functional exercises!

FYI ~ body weight exercises are good too! And you DO NOT need a gym to do strength training.

Are you ready for this holiday treat that is a plus for your taste buds and your health?
